The theme for the contest was Protecting Our Environment. Students were to create a poster detailing what the environment means to them and what can be done to help keep it safe. Fourth and Fifth grade students from both Krug and Nicholson Elementary Schools participated. The contest started on February 17th and the deadline for submissions was March 18th. During the week of March 21st, teachers from the respective schools reviewed the artwork and selected the winners for each grade at their schools. Winners received 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals, gifts card awards and all participants received certificates recognizing their effort.

Thank you to all the students who submitted entries, thank you to the Teachers and Principals for supporting our project and the kids, and thank you to Rotarians Scott Neal and Aaron Kramer for making this event possible. It was great to be able to partner with the schools again this year and we look forward with working with them next year.
