Montgomery Rotary Club Sponsors Author Visit

The Montgomery Rotary Club sponsored a visit to Krug Elementary by author Stacey Glorioso.  Glorioso is the author of the children’s book, Joshua’s Dragon.  The author attended a school assembly to talk about her book and inspire the children to become more self and socially aware, as well as increase disability awareness.  Noah Little, the school’s principal and charter member of Montgomery’s Rotary said, “I am very thankful that the Rotary Club of Montgomery was willing to sponsor an author visit for Krug.  It is great to have an author visit and speak to our students about a book they wrote.  Stacey and I discussed the message of her book.  She summed it up as ‘We all have a dragon inside us, but we have to have the strength and ability to overcome it.’  That is the message I want our students to hear and to come away with.”

The Montgomery Rotary Club meets on the first and third Thursday mornings from 7:00 to 8:00am. Morning meetings are held at the new Riverview Diner located at the corner of River and Montgomery Roads in Montgomery.  In addition, the group also meets for an evening social & networking hour on the fourth Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30pm. The evening meeting is held at the Montgomery Village Hall, 200 North River Street, Montgomery.
